Presidio Dance Theatre was invited by the Russian Federation, Ministry of Culture to perform in the famed White Nights Festival, 300th Anniversary of Tsarskoye Selo in June 2008. The company was hosted by the Royal School of Imperial Ballet and performed at the Palaces of the Tsars and the Pushkin International Festival, where 22,000 Russians attended the festivities!Excursions included the Mariinsky Theatre, home of the Kirov Ballet; Vaganova School and Museum, Hermitage Museum, Pavlovsk Palace, Peterhof Palace; and Catherine Palace, where the group enjoyed a sumptuous garden party Welcome to Russia!. The Ministry of Culture provided English-speaking educational tour guides and sponsored all entrances for dancers and accompanying parents. It was the trip of a lifetime!
